As of 2/12/21, the deal seems to still be going on. It seems more attractive now, since the Galaxy S20 is very hard to find for less that the original MSRP of 1000. I actually prefer the S20 to the S21, more ram and an SD card slot, although the processor is slightly slower, everything else is the same. //@Anonymous: Yea, im interested in learning what the s21 camera array looks like. I'll wait just for that reason. Still, tempting. //@anonymous: If you have a phone that could worth $500 for trade in when S21 is available then it makes sense to wait. Assuming S21 is around $1000. //@anonymous: Galaxy S21 will be released this month.

True, but don't expect it any where around $399. //@Anonymous: Galaxy S21 will be released this month.

Hum, maybe not a bad idea. Then I can use the phone on Sprint. Cool //@anonymous: you can go with $20 per month plan for 3 months instead of unlimited plan for $70

Not eligible for a new number. Need to transfer an existing non Fi number to qualify.

Can i get Fi unlimited data, then turn on hotspot and connect my laptop on it 24/7?

By anonymous on 01/06/2021, 01:43 PM EST
Nobody uses Google Fi for their unlimited data. You get it for international use because it works everywhere for no additional fees.

A light data user's bill will be ~$30/mo. //@Anonymous: I see. Meh, the plan isn't worth it. I could theoretically get a 30/ month throwaway number from trackfone or something, transfer it, use fi for 3 months at 70/month, then cancel. It would cost me about 300 usd, making the phone about 700. Too much work though //@anonymous: its unlocked but probably if service is not active for 90 days- they will charge the credit card with $600 //@Anonymous: Google Fi phones are unlocked, but to get this price you have to activate the phone and use their service for at least 90 days. //@Anonymous: So, this means that it is locked to the Google fi service? I can't buy this and use it with sprint?
