i bought three 4tb and two 2tb of them as a photographer, i fill them on a daily basis....2tb are dead, didnt even make it 6 months, before files went missing or corrupt. two of the 4tb developed same issues just took 9-10 months....sandisk replaced them all, and i sold the new ones they sent me. changed over to a usb-c nvme enclosure and nvme drives, no issues. //@Anonymous: Just because most people bought 2TB version. You may be using wrong battery. You need 2032 battery -- 2025 battery also work in powering it up but the capacity of 2025 battery is way smaller than 2032 and it will drain super quickly. //@Anonymous: Eats up battery quickly. Replaced batteries within 2 weeks.

I personally think apple tags are useless for all practical purposes. It is at best works if it is in the same room as your phone. You move to a different location with as minimum as with 2-3 walls it does not work.
