At this time (8/21) the price difference is $200. With the same specs, the same MacBook Air 15 inch/M4 is listed at $1399 on Amazon.

That is Apple's trick. For me, 512GB seems to be the minimal disk space I need. After one year of usage, I used about 260GB as a developer. So I will have to pay the $200 for that 256GB. //@Anonymous: $200 for just 256GB
