It's just a test, people. To HELP people...the helpful people and the unhelpful people. It's to help you know if it is covid or just a cold while you're home...before you drive to get a pcr test to confirm it. Before you walk around pretending it is just a cold, spreading covid to everyone else. My family used the tests and they were 100% accurate, as confirmed by pcr tests. It is as simple as following directions. Perhaps too complicated for the magic 8 ball guy.

Common cold and flu are also caused by coronavirus, which are close family to Sars-Cov2. Many mutations in new Omicron variant actually exist in common cold and flu coronaviruses. //@anonymous: Uh, these at home tests generate a 15% false negative rates and 1 to 2% false positive rates. Like I said, did you use that empty space between your ears before posting.
FDA study: "BinaxNow COVID-19 Ag Card," Positive Agreement (to PCR test, which is far more accurate), 84.6%. Negative agreement, 98.5%).
CDC study: "Evaluation of Abbott BinaxNOW Rapid Antigen Test for SARS-CoV-2 Infection at Two Community-Based Testing Sites," "Compared with real-time RT-PCR testing, the BinaxNOW antigen test had a sensitivity of 64.2% for specimens from symptomatic persons and 35.8% for specimens from asymptomatic persons." //@cloiser: fake news //@anonymous: Uh, these at home tests generate a 15% false negative rates and 1 to 2% false positive rates. I'm not sure what that have to do with what I posted. Even before Omicron, these at home kits were even in the most flatter studies, generating high false negative tests (15%) compared to PCR tests. In other studies, it performed even worse. I cited both, assuming that posts is being viewed by admin before posting. I'm not the initial poster who said used a magic 8 ball, but whatever reason he made that post, he's kind of right on. //@Anonymous: Common cold and flu are also caused by coronavirus, which are close family to Sars-Cov2. It's all about symptoms! If you have NO symptoms, then what is the test for? To simply be like the skyfallers screaming so & so has Covid and it means NOTHING! The Pandemic has been an Endemic and on the way out.

You should READ the study, specifically the CDC one. In that study one of the things they test is is people who TESTED POSITIVE from the PCR test (which they confirmed with a second), and this kit STILL returned false negatives. And as I quoted directly, terrible sensitivity especially for asympomatic cases. So to summarize, even people whom we KNOW to have the virus, STILL tested falsely using these test kits. //@Anonymous: It's just a test, people. I think you missed the point. I wasn’t saying anything about any one else’s comment except yours. Calling out prices from 3+ years ago is nonsense. Makes zero difference. Change your focus, you might see something nice. //@anonymous: The first response was not me. Many retailers are trying by running more sales but their sale prices just get copied by that giant e-commerce. It's the consumers that needs to wake up and buy from the places that actually run the sales rather than the copycat that they are used to buy from. //@anonymous: Very good deal.
