What’s the difference between MacBook Air and MacBook Pro?

Max pro is more powerful (=better CPU) so it can run heavy softwares vs. Max air. Instead, it is more expensive and heavier than Max air. //@anonymous: What’s the difference between MacBook Air and MacBook Pro?

No doubt it won't be long before Apple stops supporting Intel processors. So your OS upgrade path is longer on the new systems with ARM chips.

Update 11/12: With the new Air with M1 chip release, this previous generation model which is still pretty new (launched on March 18 2020), dropped another $100 from previous lowest deal price. M1 or Intel? you name it!

mac pro has a fan so that it can provide better peek performance, while air is fanless. one of the air models only enables 7 out of the 8 cores. In addition, mac pro has the touch-bar. //@Anonymous: What’s the difference between MacBook Air and MacBook Pro?
