This “German” keyboard version of this MacBook Pro is similar to a standard US keyboard, but this keyboard layout features extra “German” ä, ö, and ü “umlaut” vowels grouped together on the right side, the positions of the "Z" and "Y" keys are switched, and there are a few other minor differences in the keys (see photo for reference).
"Also, this MacBook model is compatible with an external keyboard. After connecting the external keyboard, end users would then go into “System Preferences” “Keyboard” “Input source” then add “US English” and remove “ABD-QWERT”. Then both keyboards will operate in US English mode."
