M$ft built the Surface to be a decent brand but then started milking it very hard. The build quality has been terrible for a couple of years now. the bad quality impacted sales significantly and now it's M$ft has to rely on lower price to stay in the market instead of doing the hard work to make these machines with better quality. //@cheetah: Thanks, updated. //@anonymous: You will find better deal in Costco for 1199 with pen and type cover
