Jack stand ratings are for the pair, not per jack stand. And 3-ton stands will give you much better clearance to work under the vehicle. //@anonymous: Most SUV and mini Van weigh about 2 ton. So 0.5 ton is equally distributed to 4 tires. Why do we need 3 tons? //@anonymous: Most SUVs require at least 3 tons

No one even said what they are using this for so what’s the point of the comment in the first place? Good jack stand for a good price for TWO TON. Just ignore this guy next time. //@anonymous: Jack stand ratings are for the pair, not per jack stand. Why in the world would you think half the vehicles weight is load on the jacks? You lower the vehicle onto them not raise them up with them. Majority of load will be on two front or two rear tires if you are using both jack stands to support the vehicle. More clearance? Now you’re just making stuff up. //@anonymous: Jack stand ratings are for the pair, not per jack stand. He,(or she) was going to use just one on the centerline at the front to create a 3 point stable plan... //@anonymous: Why in the world would you think half the vehicles weight is load on the jacks? As funny as it sounds it would be impressive to see anyone actually mount a vehicle on one jack stand in the front of the vehicle using a single jack to lift the car. Bye bye radiator and bumper. //@anonymous: He,(or she) was going to use just one on the centerline at the front to create a 3 point stable plan... //@anonymous: Why in the world would you think half the vehicles weight is load on the jacks?
