That was probably their way of letting you know that you can easily repair a watch crown yourself. You might need to buy a new crown and stem, but do you really expect Citizen to do that for you? //@Anonymous: That's correct. Citizen doesn't support their products.
I bought Citizen Duratect eco-drive and paid in four figures.
When it needed crown repairs, Citizen kept it for 3 months and send back without repaire.

Same here. Eco-drive sucks. //@Anonymous: Citizen doesn't support their products. I have a watch that cost $400 and can't replace rechargeable battery for "Eco-drive". Nobody wants to replace it including manufacturer. I won't buy ever a watch with price tag over $50.
