where can I find the similar deal? //@Anonymous: get over the magnetic, get the portable external SSD even if it is expensive. You will not regret it in long term

The transfer speed is slow? Or is it just the issue with my hard drive?

Anyway, look at the 400+ reviews on the Staples site to see what actual users are saying.

Untrue on both the SSD and eSATA comments - first, you're not going to get a 2 TB external SSD for even close to this. If your primary purpose is backup or using to transport files or even everyday use but not your primary drive, then this is perfectly fine. It's USB 3.0 so even moving GB files back and forth will be fast - not nearly as fast as the SSD but still fast. Same goes for eSATA - faster, maybe, but again, it depends on expectations and price. USB 3.0 is pretty much universal; eSATA is not. If you have the money and desire for ultimate performance, then go for SSD, otherwise $45 for a 2 TB external USB 3.0 drive from Seagate is a good buy. //@Anonymous: get over the magnetic, get the portable external SSD even if it is expensive. I think they named this wrong, it is not mainly for backup. It is for portable device that you can carry some large files...

I'd also recommend against USB as a back-up tech. It's such a relatively slow transfer rate. Go SATA. //@Anonymous: get over the magnetic, get the portable external SSD even if it is expensive. You will not regret it in long term
