Yes, normally they can unlock your phone in the first day of the 12th month. For example if you activate the phone on 1/25, you can request unlock on 1/1 of next year. //@anonymous: Can the phone be unlocked after one year service is done by calling customer service representative to unlock the phone?

Just because a phone is unlocked , does not mean that you can install another operating system on it. You need to be able to root a phone to install a different os. //@anonymous: So I can install another OS on it. //@Anonymous: before this can be answered, why do you need to unlock it? //@Anonymous: is it unlocked?
