Milwaukee m18 fuel impact is actually shorter/smaller than m12 fuel one, just a little bit taller. The issue of these 12v stuffs is that battery in handle, so the handle is much thicker than their 18v brothers. Very uncomfortable for long time use. For DeWalt you should try DCD791 XR compact drills instead of these atomic stuff //@anonymous: agreed with the previous comment. The point of buying this 12V set is the light weight. I have those and a dozen others drills of different brands (I know, I have too many). The one I use most often is the PS-21. This set is almost as much weight as of Dawalt 18V Atoms. I had this set. The drill is more powerful than my Black and decker 18V. It is small to handle. My only complaint is the battery is hard to remove.
