Bought a Lenovo Thinkpad with intel i7 , 16gb 256gb for $499 5 years back. The track pad is also on the left. Agree with earlier comments. Have had the 14-inch i5 version of the laptop, which are reasonably put together. The screen is not bright. You can't ask for everything with $350.

Who cares about the placement of the trackpad. It's a great price for a laptop that has 16GB and 256GB SSD. No other manufacturer will even come close unless it's from the back of a truck.

Totally agreed. When I use the laptop, I would center myself to the screen. So placing the trackpad to the left only make sense for the lefties.

For apparent reason. I sit center to the screen. I want the track pad to be in the center, or even better, on the right side, because I am right handed. on the left side , I have to long reach, shoulder not comfortable, not ergonomic at all.
