You can not trust Verizon. They are the worst among ATT and T-mobile. You will never get what they promised. They will try everthing to not give that money, most case in reduced amount. They will jump their plan price dramatically after one or two years. We did not get $200, only $130. "Unlimited Welcome" is the deprioritized plan, google it, you will see a lot of complaints

Yeah, I use google FI. 4 lines, total with taxes is 111. When I travel internationally, I upgrade to 180/month and it works in any country. When I come back, I can switch back in the app. No contracts. They occasionally have good discounts on galaxy S series phones, can get them for about 300, unlocked, just need to keep them on the service for 90 days to get the discount.
