It usually can only power applications very short period compared to say gasoline powered one. Here is an ideal estimation:
4 40V 4Ah batteries give a total 640Wh energy. Assuming 0% energy loss during 40V to 110V conversion, it can power a 1000W output for 0.64 hour only.
