Get the V1200 instead. It only costs $280. The motor is slightly more powerful (2.2hp vs 2.0hp), and it comes with smoothie cup and blade base.

That V1200 you are referring to for $280 is Refurbished and OOS https://www.vitamix.com/us/en_us/shop/certified-reconditioned-v1200 //@anonymous: Get the V1200 instead. It only costs $280. The motor is slightly more powerful (2.2hp vs 2.0hp), and it comes with smoothie cup and blade base.

Why are these so expensive? It is essentially a printer.

Market share? Fewer people buy these, I assume, which means lower demand to defray overhead. Also, I suspect the ink/toner is of a different, more expensive composition to account for the use, and the mechanisms must handle heavier media. Kind of makes sense to me, though I am no expert in ANY OF THESE FIELDS... //@Anonymous: Why are these so expensive? It is essentially a printer.

all label printers use thermal transfer technology, no ink/toner consumption at all, the thermal transfer has the advantage of low consumable cost and fast printing, but the downside is considerably low printing resolution. And the thermal mechanism dominated most of its cost. This dual printer model should be used in a fast pace environment like takeout counter to double printer efficiency and at this price point, this one is unbeatable //@Anonymous: Market share? I got one last year. It works but the quality is pretty bad and has a lot of eye strain. I stopped using it and prefer a regular external monitor.

I bought 2 of these for $109 a while back. Trade war and covid are stalling competition and setting technology backwards. If it wasn’t for trade war and covid, this monitor would be sold for $79 nowadays and much better monitors would be available for $119. Now is too easy for manufacturers to make money with junks like this so there’s no need to compete or innovate.

What are you talking about? None of what you said makes any sense coming from someone that has global supplier and manufacturing industry experience. What you feel a price should be doesn’t mean any other higher price is price gouging. //@anonymous: I bought 2 of these for $109 a while back. Technology always advance at steady speed because of competition. With trade war and covid, sellers no longer competing. They can still jack up the price on ancient monitors instead of slashing prices. While they can make good money on these junks, there is no need to create new products. You knew nothing about technology so I don’t know how much longer you can stay in this business. //@anonymous: What are you talking about? Curved and frameless look is nice but actual content is going to look bad at FHD in 32inch for computer. Either get QHD 32inch or go with smaller screen

i have a laptop from this series, txt, browsing etc looks way better in 2k than 1080P, in games theres not much difference. Build quality is good, but it can be difficult to put the bottom cover back on correctly after adding extra nvme/ram. keyboard is disappointing, i tend to hit wrong keys more often, than on my lenovo laptop, its both feel, and key placement, maybe i just dont have enough time with it
