Now, as you know, apple chips are not getting much better, partly because of lack of good engineers and the slow improvement over the 3/4nm node. So... getting M1 pro instead may be a better idea.
Anonymous
Previous gen M1 processors are a better value and should be more than sufficient for 70-80% of all users. If anything, Apple has bad marketing. No professional user is going to buy the MB with low specs, and no average user is going to spend $1.2K+ on it either. They should have significantly lowered the price, or not have an option with 8GB RAM/256GB storage.

Not entirely true. When you run out of ram, which is relatively easy to do with only 8gb,the computer is forced to use swap space which is basically your ssd drive. Swapping memory pages in and out of disk is slow. I'd much rather have a slightly slower cpu with more memory. //@anonymous: Ram doesn’t make the computers run faster. Your computer RAM is essentially short term memory where data is stored as the processor needs it. This isn't to be confused with long-term data that's stored on your hard drive, which stays there even when your computer is turned off.(info wouldn’t stay the your ram, the temporally memory pages are always on your SSD.) //@anonymous: Not entirely true. That is the correct one, the wired is for the charging case, not the earphones. //@anonymous: Amazon link points to wired version

A lot of you misunderstands the item.
"Apple AirPods WIRELESS Headphones...with Charging Case".
It doesn't say the case is wireless.

I miss mine. It broke down after 6 or 7 faithful years. I updated to the Barista Pro, but I miss the more straightforward utility of the express. The pressure gauge is a nice feature to help dial in shots.

Would you say that $600 is a good price for this one? And how much would it have cost to repair yours? //@anonymous: I miss mine. It broke down after 6 or 7 faithful years. I just got this for Xmas and it’s outstanding. I had a $70 off-brand with high Amazon ratings but couldn’t produce crema. This one is the business.

It will last a long time if you keep the steam wand clean. I let mine get gunked up and it eventually blew out the pump. Fixing it was going to cost like $300, so I just bought another one and it's been doing great.

I got one back in 2014 and it is broken after about 3000 cups. Pros said it was about the right life span. This is perfect model to do entry level latte art.

machines like this typically lasts 8-10 years. not worth it in my opinion. if you get a real all or semi mechanical machine, it can last some 30-50 years.

Just remember HP toner is $$$. 3rd party has unreliable results. Add to revaluation maintenance of rollers and whatnot. May easily add up to the cost of the printer.

I only use third party toner in 7 different hp laserjet printers with no issues. I’ve never had to replace any other part after 4 years, unlike brother printers that require new drums after 12k pages. //@anonymous: Just remember HP toner is $$$. 3rd party has unreliable results.
