I only use third party toner in 7 different hp laserjet printers with no issues. I’ve never had to replace any other part after 4 years, unlike brother printers that require new drums after 12k pages. //@anonymous: Just remember HP toner is $$$. 3rd party has unreliable results. Now, as you know, apple chips are not getting much better, partly because of lack of good engineers and the slow improvement over the 3/4nm node. So... getting M1 pro instead may be a better idea.

Previous gen M1 processors are a better value and should be more than sufficient for 70-80% of all users. If anything, Apple has bad marketing. No professional user is going to buy the MB with low specs, and no average user is going to spend $1.2K+ on it either. They should have significantly lowered the price, or not have an option with 8GB RAM/256GB storage.

1), M1 is super fast with no heat. 2), Mac is very efficient in using memory. I am a programmer converted from PC to MAC ~ 10 years ago, never look back. Of course, I bought a MacBook Pro, but I got a M1 MacBook Air for my son, he is very happy about it.

Not entirely true. When you run out of ram, which is relatively easy to do with only 8gb,the computer is forced to use swap space which is basically your ssd drive. Your computer RAM is essentially short term memory where data is stored as the processor needs it. I was lucky to get one from BestBuy local store using price-match when Walmart was on sale and available. The price was $449 after price-match and there is 5% in-store Cashback from third party Cashback website, plus credit card has 10% back up to $25 offer (chase). Combined almost $100 off. If BestBuy store do not have inventory, you can pay local and they will ship to you.

Only iPad Pro series has a 120Hz screen refresh rate, four speakers, and a faster processor and graphics than their other iPads. //@anonymous: thanks. in summary, mini has better chip and good for gaming. It will last a long time if you keep the steam wand clean. I let mine get gunked up and it eventually blew out the pump. Fixing it was going to cost like $300, so I just bought another one and it's been doing great.
