How can I sure to waive the 99 installation fee? I didn’t see that stated clearly.

By anonymous on 03/15/2021, 03:15 PM EDT
This is only true if the slow speed has been confirmed across multiple network providers in the same setting. It doesn't explain why only FIOS cannot keep up with the speed they offer while others do. //@anonymous: Internet is a big collection of networks, computers, lines and other equipment. Some of them could be slow or very slow. Fact that you bought fast connection from FIOS doesn't make them run faster. //@Anonymous: For FIOS, test speed shows what you buy, but open a web page with some pictures frequently very slow for my 300/300 plan. LOL.

Frankly, Verizon is getting worse and worse.

By anonymous on 12/06/2020, 03:12 PM EST
Not at all, called right before 12 months and was offered the same rate for another year. Called 6 months later to increase speed, was offered the same rate for double speed. And it also became contract-free, only requirement is to fulfill the remaining 6 months. //@anonymous: worst part about fios is the pricing after the first 12 months

By anonymous on 11/08/2020, 08:12 PM EST
Switched to FiOS and internet disconnected 3 times in the first month. Also its customer service is bad.

By anonymous on 10/25/2020, 08:19 PM EDT
This happens to most internet providers. Seem like the $39.99 is a standard and will not increase after first year. If it increases, you can always disconnect the service, and start new service under different household member in same day. //@anonymous: worst part about fios is the pricing after the first 12 months

I've been FIOS customer for last 5 years with 1Gb connection. I was happy with their service. However, last 5-6 months I have troubles with the Interent connections. My router was reset several times per day. I called CS and they sent me replacement router. It was even worst then my old one. I called them again and they sent me another replacement. It was stable but no 5GZ stream, just 2.4GZ. So they sent untested defective units and this indication of highly degraded service at Verizon. I'm considering to switch to somebody else.

One thing I do it... as many of us these days only use streaming app’s and if you ended up with a triple play contract...you can call Verizon and they will send a box to return the TV box.. so your total bill will reduce to $12.99...also try rokuten plug in.. I got $120 cash back

By deal_hunter on 08/07/2020, 09:52 AM EDT
Simple solution, disconnect fios, sign up with any ither provider if available or sign up with parthers name //@anonymous: I fell for one of these deals a few years ago. They cranked up the price as soon as the deal term was over. I called to try to adjust back, but it's Verizon...they make it hard! Ultimately I gave up and bumped my speed back down to 25/25. Still paying way too much for the speed. I could probably get a better deal, but I hate arguing with their a-hole customer service dept.

Thank you. Smart person. //@Anonymous: You only need the internet connection; flat rate, no tax, no box, no fees. Get your self a router or use your existing router and connect it to the ONT in your house. Get a streaming device Roku, Fire Stick, or your existing smart tv..and subscribe to a streaming service(s) with cost from free to a fee... Pluto TV Netflix,HBO, Starz, Philo TV, Hulu TV, YouTube TV, Sling, FuBo TV...If you need telephone, subscribe to a VOIP service from free to $60 yearly. All you need is the internet connection. //@anonymous: You never can get this price. All other service fees. Forced box rental fees. And they will jerk price up after deal is over. Been there, that's the reason i switched.

By anonymous on 07/05/2020, 08:55 PM EDT
My internet supposed to be self installation. First day of service did not work. Chatted with CS and they send technician next morning. Technician had to get into the house to fix the point. It was in 2nd June, in Montgomery County, MD. Yes I pay advertised price for the internet. So far a happy customer

By anonymous on 07/05/2020, 02:58 PM EDT
seems they may have fixed the billing foes, or i'm just lucky..have been paying just as advertised, got bumped to 200m/49.99 few mons back after initial promo ended, not a penny more, linked to chking auto-pay and saw this month dropped 10. pleasantly surprised. //@Anonymous: You never can get this price. I have provided many more times to get an additional discount when you use Javaj002vz and I tried before

you need to buy the router, i did it few years ago and it's cheaper, if you need to rent it for $15, you can buy it with a year //@Anonymous: You never can get this price. All other service fees. After 2 years, the basic service fee went up over $70 for 100 mbps. Called Verzion yesterday, I was told no deal to apply and told me that I can cancel at any time. After I got a deal with local provider and called for cancellation, they immediately send me an email to ask for stay with Verizon for $44.95/mo for a 2 year contract.

By Preparation on 05/24/2020, 10:01 AM EDT
If you are tied up with a 2 year’s contract and barely use the TV box..: you can call them and they send you a UPS box and label to return it. That will save you and $12.99 a month... which can pay for Amazon Prime or HULU or any streaming subscription

same with me. great service. //@Anonymous: My plan was 100/100. I received text message to tell me my plan was upgraded to 200/200 automatically. and yes, it is 200/200 right now. I am so happy

I was on 100/100 plan, small ONT box. Chat with customer service from the login account, they switched me to 200/200 without any hassle. The change took about 30 min and I needed to restart my ONT. //@anonymous: I have currently 100/100 for 39.99 for past two months. I called Verizon and was able to switch to 200/200mbps for same price. It's a flat fee no additional charges. But verizon is not sending tech for replacng my box to support higher speed than 100 and they gave me appointment for Nov-30th. //@Anonymous: You never can get this price. All other service fees. I can not believe Verizon is still doing this advertisement at this time. My scheduled installation is suspended for their employee and customer's saftey. I am not given a timeline when the technician can come to install. And I am not allowed to do self-installation although there are verizon boxes inside and outside of the house and technician says they should be working. I do not know when I can get the service.

I’ve been with Verizon Fios for several years and each time I’m up for renewal I ask about these deals. For the most part they will try to give credits that make the price the same but only last for about a year. The best fix I’ve found is if you have an account with them, you can cancel and reopen in another name (i.e. spouse, roommate, etc.) and get these “new” customer deals. They give you the options online with looking for service even if the home already has service there under another name. I’ll never leave so long as that’s in place!! Hope this helps.

Even you pay more with higher speed internet, testing speed indeed faster, but real time download may not be fast at all. Still better than Comcast.

By anonymous on 03/17/2020, 10:02 AM EDT
beware of mbps guys, these kind of 200/200mbps is not available in all areas, i am getting 10mbps after i signed with fios, they wont tell untill you ask them why your internet is slow, so please beware of this, this is a high level cheating consumers.
